Our Providers

Rene R. Peleman, M.D.

Dr. Peleman has been in practice since 1986. He completed his internal medicine residency at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. He then completed his Fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Pittsburgh through UPMC. At the beginning of his career, he served as Chief of Gastroenterology at Detroit Receiving Hospital and Director of Endoscopy at Harper Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. After that, he served chief of staff at St. Joseph’s Mercy Macomb in Macomb, Michigan. He enjoys teaching medical students and residents, as well as fellows. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, swimming, and playing tennis.

Inge Hanschu, PA-C

Inge Hanschu, PA-C obtained her Physician Assistant degree from University of Detroit Mercy in 2008. During her Physician assistant career, she has worked at an IBD clinic, and gastroenterology for several years. She has been with Macomb Gastroenterology since 2016. In her free time, she enjoys spending time up north, traveling, and golfing.

Natalie Peleman, PA-C

Natalie Peleman, PA-C graduated with her physician assistant degree at Seton Hill University in May 2021. She has been with Macomb Gastroenterology since graduating. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and spending time with friends.
